christmas in boise 2013

This Christmas was really special.
We took the whole family to Boise to celebrate not just Christmas but Nathan's first birthday.

We headed out for the 9hr car ride and the kiddos did great.
They are great little travelers.
Christmas Eve started off with some good ol' birthday celebration
We had some cake, opened some presents, and ate some pasta.

Then it was off to see Holiday Lights at the Botanical Gardens.
We came home to make Santa some cookies. We followed the Norad Santa Tracker all night and Isaiah took a picture for Kaylee when he stopped in Boise.
Christmas Morning!
It was time for Nathan to get his first big boy hair cut and of course we had to document the whole thing. He did great! No crying, no wiggling, no nerves. He smiled at his papa the whole way through.

We went to Kaylee's new favorite restaurant and then to the Discovery Museum. I totally geeked out with the special Bodies Exhibit that is traveling the country. It was amazing. The rest of the family was not into it at all but I could have spent all day in there. The kids lasted about two minutes.....oh well.
Then it was time to head home......we took our time, left later than usual and beat the huge storm that hit later that day.
It was a great Christmas with a ton of new memories and a year of fun ahead!

  1. What a fun trip! There is nothing like the holidays with family. I couldn't believe how big Nathan looked when he came home with a spiffy new haircut. :)
